Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Pastry Chef in managing bakery and pastry operations
- Prepare and supervise production of brownies, cakes, cookies, desserts, and baked goods
- Ensure consistency in taste, texture, portion size, and presentation
- Monitor baking processes (mixing, baking, cooling, finishing)
- Maintain food quality, hygiene, and safety standards (FSSAI)
- Assist in developing new brownie flavors and seasonal products
- Control inventory, raw material usage, and minimize wastage
- Train and guide junior chefs and bakery staff
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and freshness of products
- Coordinate with production and dispatch teams to meet daily targets
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Bakery & Pastry Arts or equivalent
- Minimum 5 to 10 years experience in bakery & pastry operations
- Strong hands-on experience in brownies and chocolate-based desserts
- Knowledge of commercial baking equipment and ovens
- Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and quality standards
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines
- Team leadership and communication skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience in central kitchen, caf chain, or premium bakery
- Exposure to large-scale brownie production
- Knowledge of costing and recipe standardization
Posting Location
- The selected candidate will be posted at the Mumbai Central Kitchen for a few months as part of pre-opening training and setup for the Kolkata Central Kitchen.
- Post successful completion of the pre-opening phase, the candidate will be relocated to Kolkata to support kitchen operations.
At the Mumbai Central Kitchen, company-provided accommodation and food will be arranged for the selected candidate.
Salary :- 8LPA to 11LPA
