Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Sous Chef based in Mumbai. The Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in creating, preparing, and presenting menu items that reflect the unique and innovative culinary style of Karigari. Responsibilities include supervising kitchen staff, maintaining the quality and consistency of dishes, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards, monitoring inventory, and assisting in menu planning and staff training. The role will collaborate closely with the team to deliver exceptional dining experiences while upholding the brand's culinary standards.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in cooking techniques, food preparation, and presentation
- Experience in kitchen management, leadership, and team collaboration
- Knowledge of inventory management and food cost control
- Understanding and implementation of food safety and hygiene regulations
- Ability to innovate and create menus that blend tradition with contemporary styles
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in a Sous Chef or similar role is required
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred
