What you'll handle
- Vendor sourcing & negotiation: identify reliable 92.5 silver manufacturers, compare MOQs, lead times, and plating/finishing quality, lock rates and SLAs.
- Production coordination: convert designs/CAD to POs, track WIP, follow up on timelines, ensure correct weights, sizes, and stone specs.
- Quality control (incoming & pre-dispatch): verify 925 stamp/hallmark docs, finish, solder joints, prongs/stone settings, polish, plating thickness, clasps/locks, and chain strength.
- Defect management: maintain rejection logs, run root-cause with vendors, enforce rework/credit notes.
- Compliance & documentation: coordinate BIS/hallmarking center paperwork; keep spec sheets, COAs, and batch photos organized.
- Costing & margins: track landed cost vs target margin; flag variances early.
- Packaging handoff: ensure each SKU passes QC checklist before it's cleared for photography/dispatch.
Must-haves
- 2–5 years in jewelry sourcing/QC (silver or gold).
- Strong eye for finish and setting quality; comfort reading CAD/spec sheets.
- Vendor management chops: rates, MOQs, TATs, penalties.
- Solid spreadsheet discipline; simple trackers that vendors actually follow.
- Clear communication in English/Hindi.
