About the Role
We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Sourcing / Procurement Manager to lead end-to-end sourcing of electronic and mechanical components for our product lines. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in vendor identification, cost negotiation, supplier relationship management, and ensuring timely procurement of components from reliable partners across India and overseas.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing for electronic components (PCBs, sensors, batteries, ICs, etc.) and mechanical parts (enclosures, plastic molding, metal fabrication, etc.).
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers and manufacturers both domestic and international.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and contracts to ensure cost efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate with the Design, R&D, and Manufacturing teams to align sourcing strategies with product requirements.
- Develop and manage supplier scorecards; monitor performance on quality, delivery, and cost.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives through alternate sourcing, volume consolidation, and process improvements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and emerging vendors in the consumer electronics space.
- Ensure supplier compliance with company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electronics/Mechanical preferred) or Supply Chain Management.
- 510 years of experience in hardware sourcing, procurement, or supply chain.
- Prior experience sourcing for companies like Nothing, boAt, Noise, Fire-Boltt, or drone / IoT manufacturers is highly preferred.
- Strong technical understanding of BOMs, components, tooling, and manufacturing processes.
- Proven track record in vendor management, cost negotiation, and supply risk mitigation.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
Good to Have
- Exposure to international sourcing (China, Taiwan, Vietnam, etc.).
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Zoho).
- Familiarity with new product introduction (NPI) cycles and prototype sourcing.
