Role Summary
We are looking for a proactive Sourcing Manager to handle supplier sourcing, India assembling support, compliance follow-ups, product development coordination and procurement operations for consumer electrical appliances.
The candidate should have strong knowledge of:
- Product sourcing & vendor management
- Product knowledge of electrical/personal care appliances
- BOM creation & costing
- Production and assembly processes
- Supplier coordination & follow-ups
- BIS/compliance requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Source and develop suppliers for products, components, and packaging materials
- Coordinate with Chinese and Indian factories for production and dispatches
- Handle BOM creation, costing analysis, and product documentation
- Support product development and new SKU launches
- Coordinate artworks, packaging, manuals, and product specifications
- Ensure smooth India assembling operations and production planning
- Track product quality issues and corrective actions
- Coordinate BIS certifications, test reports, and compliance activities
- Maintain procurement trackers, supplier records, and development timelines
- Drive cost optimization and localization initiatives
- Ensure timely vendor engagement, order processing, negotiation, and payment coordination for smooth procurement operations
- Coordinate shipment schedules and dispatch details with logistics teams for seamless operational handover
- Support proactive quality management through supplier inspections, RCA, CAPA, and vendor feedback coordination
- Maintain proper and accurate procurement, PO, compliance, and vendor-related documentation as per company process
- Coordinate recovery of defective units/parts from suppliers and maintain proper after-sales and warranty records
Skills Required
- Strong sourcing & negotiation skills
- Product knowledge of consumer electrical appliances
- Understanding of production & assembly processes
- BOM preparation and costing knowledge
- Good coordination and follow-up skills
- Excel and tracker management
- Attention to detail and ownership mindset
Experience
- Minimum 5 years in sourcing, procurement, or buying
- Experience in consumer electronics/personal care/electrical appliances preferred
- Experience working with Global & Domestic suppliers preferred
