Job Description Sound & Projection Manager

Role Overview
The Sound & Projection Manager is responsible for ensuring smooth and uninterrupted cinema projection and sound operations. The role involves managing all technical equipment, ensuring superior audio-visual quality, preventive maintenance, staff management, and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily operations of projection and sound systems to ensure high-quality viewing and listening experiences. Operate and oversee digital cinema projectors, servers, sound processors, and automation systems.
Conduct regular preventive maintenance and ensure timely servicing of projection and sound equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues (hardware & software) to minimize downtime during shows.
Monitor and maintain sound calibration, projection brightness, and picture quality. Coordinate with vendors, OEMs, and service providers for repairs and upgrades.
Maintain inventory of spare parts, equipment, and consumables for projection/sound operations.
Train, supervise, and schedule projection staff, ensuring proper adherence to SOPs.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, IT security protocols, and cinema operational policies.
Prepare and share technical reports, downtime logs, and maintenance schedules with management.
Qualifications & Experience
Strong knowledge of Digital Cinema Projection Systems (DCP), Dolby/DTS sound formats, and automation systems Ability to troubleshoot hardware, networking, and software-related projection/sound issues. Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
