Position: Solutions Engineer- Pre Sales

Location: Bangalore, India

Coverage: Middle East & Europe (travel required)

Role Overview

Nile is looking for a Solutions Engineer to drive pre-sales technical engagements across the Middle East and Europe, based out of Bangalore, India. This is a customer-facing, deal-closing role—you will be the technical heartbeat of every sales cycle, partnering directly with Account Executives to win business.

You will spend most of your time in front of customers and prospects: leading deep-dive technical sessions, running hands-on proof-of-concepts, advising on architecture, and closing the technical gap that converts interest into committed revenue. You must be equally comfortable in a boardroom presenting to a CTO and on a datacenter, floor configuring gear.

This role requires periodic travel to customer sites across the Middle East and Europe, with occasional visits to Nile's US headquarters for training, sales kickoffs, and field alignment.

Responsibilities

Technical Pre-Sales Engagement

  • Own the technical relationship from first call through deal close, partnering closely with Account Executives across MEA and Europe.
  • Lead deep-dive technical discovery sessions to understand customer environments, pain points, and success criteria.
  • Deliver compelling technical presentations, architecture walkthroughs, and live product demonstrations of the Nile platform.
  • Respond to technical objections with confidence—translating complex networking concepts into clear business value.
  • Contribute to RFP/RFI responses with precise, technically accurate content that differentiates Nile

Proof of Concept (POC) Design & Execution

  • Plan, design, and execute hands-on proof-of-concepts using Nile hardware and software at customer sites or in lab environments.
  • Define POC success criteria collaboratively with customers and ensure a structured, evidence-based evaluation process.
  • Configure, validate, and troubleshoot Nile wired and wireless deployments during POC engagements.
  • Document POC outcomes and translate results into compelling close artifacts for Sales and the customer.
  • Conduct predictive and active wireless surveys as part of pre-sales design validation when required.

Customer Training & Enablement

  • Deliver technical training sessions to customer IT teams, covering Nile platform architecture, operations, and best practices.
  • Support partner onboarding by conducting training workshops that build confidence in designing and selling Nile solutions.
  • Create and maintain training content, solution guides, and technical playbooks relevant to MEA and European market requirements.
  • Equip customers with the knowledge to successfully adopt and expand their Nile deployment post-sale.

Customer Advisor & Technical Evangelist

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to customer stakeholders—from network architects to C-suite—guiding them toward modern, Zero Trust-aligned network architectures.
  • Evangelize Nile's service model and differentiated approach to enterprise networking at industry events, customer briefings, and partner forums in the region.
  • Build long-term relationships that extend beyond the initial sale, positioning Nile as the customer's strategic networking partner.
  • Feed field insights back to Product and Engineering to influence roadmap prioritization for MEA and European markets.

Sales Team Partnership

  • Tag team with Account Executives as the technical co-pilot on every strategic opportunity—from discovery through negotiation and close.
  • Participate in account planning, pipeline reviews, and forecast calls to provide technical qualification and deal progression input.
  • Help Sales understand and communicate technical differentiators, competitive positioning, and objection handling strategies.
  • Maintain strong working relationships across Sales, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 8–10+ years of experience in a customer-facing networking role.
  • Proven ability to lead technical sales engagements.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise networking.
  • Experience with wireless survey tools (Ekahau, Hamina, AirMagnet).
  • CWNA and CCNA or equivalent certifications.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel across MEA and Europe.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in MEA or European markets.
  • CWAP or CWSP certification.
  • Experience with Cisco, Aruba, or Ruckus platforms.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust, NAC, or SASE architectures.
  • Experience with enterprise-scale deployments.
  • Partner/channel pre-sales experience.
  • Arabic or European language skills.
