The Role: Solutions Architect

We're hiring a Solutions Architect to work at the intersection of product, engineering, and customers. This role is critical to designing scalable, reliable solutions for complex customer use cases, especially enterprise and high-growth accounts.

You'll partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering to architect integrations, define data flows, and ensure Sequifi is implemented in a way that is technically sound, scalable, and aligned with customer business goals.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who enjoys solving messy real-world problems, translating business requirements into technical solutions, and being a trusted technical advisor to customers.

This is a highly collaborative role that requires strong overlap with U.S.-based teams and customers. The Solutions Architect must be available to work U.S. business hours, with the day starting at 8:00 AM Mountain Time.

What You'll Do

Solution Design & Architecture

  • Design end-to-end technical solutions for customers, including data models, integrations, and workflows
  • Architect CRM and data integrations (API-based, event-driven, batch) that support real-time and near-real-time commission calculations
  • Translate complex compensation plans, tiers, and overrides into scalable system logic
  • Ensure solutions are secure, performant, and extensible as customer volume grows

Customer & Pre-Sales Support

  • Act as the technical lead during pre-sales and enterprise onboarding conversations
  • Partner with Sales to scope implementations, assess feasibility, and set accurate expectations
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers, helping them understand Sequifi's architecture and capabilities
  • Support complex onboarding and expansion projects for strategic accounts

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product to influence roadmap decisions based on customer needs and architectural insights
  • Partner with Engineering to ensure customer solutions align with platform standards and long-term scalability
  • Collaborate with Customer Success to unblock implementations and optimize existing customer setups
  • Help bridge communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders

Platform & Integration Strategy

  • Define best practices for integrations, data ingestion, and employment package configuration
  • Identify patterns across customers and help standardize repeatable solutions
  • Contribute to internal documentation, implementation guides, and architectural playbooks
  • Provide feedback on where the platform should evolve to better support customer needs

Who You Are

  • 2+ years of experience in solutions architecture, technical consulting, or similar customer-facing technical roles
  • Strong experience designing SaaS integrations using APIs, webhooks, and data pipelines
  • Comfortable working with complex data models and business logic (commissions, payouts, calculations, rules engines)
  • Able to translate business requirements into clear technical designs
  • Excellent communicator who can explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and enjoy problem-solving
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams

Nice to Have

  • Experience with HR tech, fintech, payroll, or other regulated systems
  • Familiarity with modern SaaS stacks (Node.js, React, Postgres, AWS)
  • Exposure to CRM platforms (Salesforce, FieldRoutes, HubSpot, custom CRMs)
  • Experience supporting enterprise or mid-market customers
  • Background in startups or scaling SaaS companies
