Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Solution Engineer / Architect with 10–15 years of IT experience, including 6–10 years in the Salesforce ecosystem. This role bridges business requirements and technical execution, focusing on designing scalable, efficient, and business-aligned Salesforce solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess strong functional and technical expertise, the ability to translate complex business needs into solution designs, and hands-on experience delivering Salesforce implementations across multiple clouds.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Architecture

  1. Design end-to-end Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
  2. Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable solution designs.
  3. Create solution architecture artifacts such as HLDs, LLDs, and solution diagrams.
  4. Define system interactions, dependencies, and data flows across platforms.
  5. Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture and Salesforce best practices.
  6. Identify opportunities to leverage out-of-the-box capabilities over custom development.
  7. Design reusable components and frameworks for faster implementation.
  8. Evaluate and recommend AppExchange products and third-party tools.
  9. Ensure compliance with Salesforce platform limits and licensing constraints.
  10. Collaborate with technical architects for alignment on enterprise-wide solutions.

Business & Functional Engagement

  1. Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
  2. Conduct discovery workshops and solutioning sessions.
  3. Translate functional requirements into user stories and technical specifications.
  4. Provide functional expertise in Salesforce features and capabilities.
  5. Recommend best-fit solutions aligned with business goals.
  6. Act as a liaison between business teams and technical teams.
  7. Support product owners in backlog prioritization and refinement.
  8. Drive requirement clarity and ensure minimal ambiguity.
  9. Provide demos and walkthroughs of proposed solutions.
  10. Ensure alignment between business processes and system design.

Salesforce Platform Expertise

  1. Configure Salesforce using Flows, Validation Rules, Approval Processes, and Custom Objects.
  2. Design data models, object relationships, and schema structures.
  3. Define security models including roles, profiles, and sharing rules.
  4. Leverage Lightning Experience and LWC capabilities for UI enhancements.
  5. Utilize standard Salesforce features to reduce technical debt.
  6. Support development teams with technical design guidance.
  7. Ensure optimal use of declarative vs programmatic solutions.
  8. Implement best practices for scalability and maintainability.
  9. Monitor platform performance and recommend improvements.
  10. Stay updated with Salesforce releases and new features.

Integration & Data Management

  1. Design integration solutions using REST/SOAP APIs.
  2. Define data migration and data synchronization strategies.
  3. Collaborate with integration teams for middleware-based solutions.
  4. Ensure data consistency across systems.
  5. Define data validation and data quality rules.
  6. Support ETL processes and large data volume handling.
  7. Design secure data exchange mechanisms using OAuth and APIs.
  8. Handle real-time and batch integration requirements.
  9. Define data governance and ownership models.
  10. Troubleshoot integration and data-related issues.

Delivery & Project Support

  1. Support end-to-end project delivery from design to deployment.
  2. Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and retrospectives.
  3. Assist in effort estimation and solution planning.
  4. Work closely with developers, QA, and admins for execution.
  5. Validate delivered solutions against requirements.
  6. Ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.
  7. Identify and mitigate risks during implementation.
  8. Provide production support and issue resolution.
  9. Maintain documentation for solutions and processes.
  10. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Salesforce Expertise

  1. 6–10 years of experience in Salesforce implementations.
  2. Strong knowledge of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
  3. Experience in Salesforce configuration and customization.
  4. Understanding of Apex, LWC, and integration concepts.
  5. Knowledge of Salesforce security and data models.
  6. Experience with Salesforce releases and feature adoption.
  7. Familiarity with DevOps tools and deployment processes.
  8. Experience with AppExchange solutions.
  9. Ability to design scalable and efficient solutions.
  10. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Certifications

  1. Salesforce Administrator certification.
  2. Salesforce Advanced Administrator certification.
  3. Salesforce Platform App Builder certification.
  4. Salesforce Platform Developer I.
  5. Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant certification.
  6. Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant certification.
  7. Salesforce Experience Cloud Consultant certification.
  8. Salesforce Application Architect (preferred for senior roles).
  9. Agile/Scrum certification (CSM or equivalent).
  10. Any additional Salesforce domain certifications.

Functional & Domain Expertise

  1. Strong understanding of CRM processes such as sales, service, and customer engagement.
  2. Experience in requirement gathering and business analysis.
  3. Ability to map business processes to system capabilities.
  4. Knowledge of industry-specific workflows (BFSI preferred).
  5. Experience in process optimization and automation.
  6. Familiarity with customer journey mapping.
  7. Ability to define KPIs and reporting requirements.
  8. Experience in user story creation and backlog management.
  9. Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements.
  10. Ability to align technology with business outcomes.

Integration & Architecture Knowledge

  1. Understanding of integration patterns and best practices.
  2. Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and middleware tools.
  3. Knowledge of event-driven architecture basics.
  4. Familiarity with data modeling and database concepts.
  5. Understanding of API security standards (OAuth, JWT).
  6. Experience in designing system interactions.
  7. Awareness of microservices architecture.
  8. Knowledge of enterprise integration strategies.
  9. Ability to design scalable and secure integrations.
  10. Experience troubleshooting integration issues.

Delivery & Collaboration Skills

  1. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

  5. Exposure to Tableau CRM or Einstein Analytics.

Preferred Experience

  1. Experience in BFSI or Healthcare domains.
