Solution Engineer works independently under minimum supervision and applies knowledge of subject matter for Solution Design & Engineering in complex engineering product and project involving IT/OT infrastructure, Telecommunications, and software applications for Electrical Grid Monitoring & Energy Management systems. This role requires experience in Energy Automation systems, Application Software, Communication Protocols, IIoT, Cloud, in Energy & Utilities domain.
At L&T PT&D Digital Solutions you will;
- Work as a System Solution Engineer / Solution Application Engineer for Digital Solutions business unit in the domain of Distributed Energy Resource (DER), Renewable Integration, Power Transmission & Distribution specifically in the areas of DMS, OMS.
- Provide engineering expertise for all both pre-sales as well as technical solution delivery projects.
- Document Solution Engineering requirements for customer projects as well as review RFP requirements and provide engineering inputs for proposal development.
- Perform review of 3 rd Party OEM s and Partner s Technical Solutions /Technical Offers
- Collaborate with Product Management, Project Operations, Sales Team, and product development teams for document engineering requirements.
- Collaborate and provide technical support to Product Development team.
- Collaborate and provide technical expertise to Technical Solutions Delivery as well as Project Engineering Team for all Solution Engineering activities in the context of customer projects.
Requirements;
- Experience in Designing & Developing Engineering Solutions for complex engineering Product & Projects in the Energy & Utilities domain Preferred Experience in the area(s) of;
- Advance Distribution Management System (DMS/ OMS/ GIS etc.)
- Meter Data Management System/AMI, Head End System
- CC&B (Customer Care & Billing)/CIS (Customer Information System)
- Work and Asset Management System (IBM Maximo, Ventyx Passport etc.)
- Experience in the domains of Renewable & Green Energy related projects like
- Energy Storage (BESS), Microgrid, hybrid EMS etc.
- Electrical Vehicle Management System (EVMS) etc.
- Experience on multi-vendor (reputed OEM s) Automation, Products, and Solutions like GE /ABB /Siemens /Schneider /Honeywell/ Rockwell/ OSI /Oracle etc.
- Experience and knowledge of IT & Networking components specification.
- Good Knowledge of Communication Protocol (Modbus TCP, DNP3, IEC61850, IEC104, OPC OCPP, Field Bus)
- Experience and knowledge of complex Solution System Architecture including concept of Cloud & Virtual Architecture.
- Hands-on Experience working on technical products in the Energy & Utilities /Telecom /Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) domains is added advantage
- Experience in Cloud Architecture and Cyber security is added advantage
- Should be familiar with Scrum & Agile Processes, SDLC and tools like Jira, Confluence.
- Hands-on experience in SQL, Python, Java Script, JSON etc. and OS environment Windows & Linux.
