Knowledge of warehousing, transportation, and broader supply chain topics

Strong Knowledge of the Logistics Business

Advanced Computer Proficiency

Strong knowledge of layouting and modeling tools such as AUTOCAD/SketchUP

Know-how of process flow diagrams, time & motion studies

Strong analytical skills

Communication/ Presentation

Commercially astute

Customer centric

Innovative thinking Expected years of experience (Minimum)

4 to 6 years logistics solution design

Consulting experience (would be desirable) Expected Educational Qualifications

Bachelor's in science or Engineering preferred

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

Must be able to communicate fluent in English, both verbal and written.

Proven working experience as a Solutions Designer

Physical Demands:

Ability to work beyond shifts if a need arises.

Ability to travel 15 days a month (domestic)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To work closely with sales & various stakeholders to review contractual commitments and customer supply chain requirements

Communicate with the client and understand their pain areas and exact scope of the RFQ.

Provide analysis and design support in the pursuit of new business, operational implementations, and re-engineering initiatives

Responsible for formulation of commercial proposals based on thorough understanding of client's strategy and requirements.

In-depth data analysis of throughput, seasonal and monthly trend, storage volume analysis responsible for providing; the cost-effective commercial solution with effective reduction in fixed and variable cost, by carrying out different cost and resource modelling.

Collect and analyze data relating to logistics operations

For RFP & RFQ, to carry out activity-based cost calculations on infrastructure/costing/pricing information

Conduct operational studies to determine key market trends & dynamic, technologies landscape etc

Drive improvement or redesigning of Supply chain or logistics process & solution

Utilize appropriate software tools such as AUTO CAD, Power BI, to determine logistics support requirements, such as, facility details, layout design, warehouse space forecasting and resource planning, inventory, transportation

Determine optimal logistics operating solutions for customers

Clearly outline solutions in appropriate formats for presentation to customers. Participate in customer presentations where required

Working closely with an internal warehousing team and operation manager to deploy automation and increase overall productivity for current business reducing peak variable cost.

Solutions Design Process:

To gather data collection and verification of assigned project

To discuss designed solutions with SD head, LE Head, operation team and BD team before submission

To generate and update documents for knowledge management based on individual experience of BD and projects completed.

To innovate and improve in working practices facilitating to the development of the team methodology

To promote the best practice with peer manner and team attitude. For example, development of resource planning, development of Knowledge Management

To act as the internal focal point for access to Logistics Solutions expertise

To ensure that all recommended solutions, implementation plans, meet the requirements

To report on agreed format on monthly basis, information required for development team meetings

Develop effective customer presentation of the appropriate solutions as part of the pursuit teams

To develop a database of Property, MHE, Costs, and all other information used in developing Solutions
