We are seeking a hands-on Solution Architect to lead the architecture, design, and technical strategy for our cloud-based multi-tenant SaaS platform. You will define end-to-end architecture, develop design specifications, and ensure scalability, security, and compliance. This role requires strong AWS expertise, solution design experience, and familiarity with Angular, Node.js, and serverless cloud architectures.
Responsibilities
- Design and define the overall solution architecture for a scalable, secure, and compliant multi-tenant SaaS platform on AWS.
- Translate business and product requirements into detailed architecture and design specifications.
- Architect solutions using modern cloud architecture patterns such as microservices, event-driven, and serverless architectures.
- Lead data modelling and schema design for relational and non-relational data systems.
- Define and implement platform security design, including IAM, SSO, encryption, WAF, and secure network segmentation.
- Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to ensure architecture consistency, automation, and CI/CD integration.
- Create architecture blueprints and system documentation using UML or equivalent modelling tools.
- Support performance tuning, resiliency design, and cost optimisation initiatives.
- Ensure the overall architecture meets compliance frameworks, including ISO 27001 SOC 2 and GDPR.
- Participate in architecture reviews, proof-of-concept projects, and system validation.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software development and solution architecture experience for cloud-based SaaS platforms.
- 5+ years of Proven expertise designing and delivering multi-tenant B2B systems on AWS.
- Strong experience with microservices, event-driven, and serverless architectures.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, Aurora, S3 CloudFront, IAM, and VPC.
- Experience in data modelling and database design (Aurora/Postgres preferred).
- Familiarity with Angular and Node.js frameworks in cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of platform security design, including IAM, SSO, and encryption.
- Experience with architecture documentation using UML or similar tools.
- Understanding of ISO 27001 SOC 2 and compliance audit requirements.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to mentor and collaborate across teams.
