Job Purpose
Solution Architect role is to design and advice on technical aspects of system development and integration (including requests for changes, deviations from specifications as well as ensure that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices are applied correctly. The architect provides input to the strategic direction of technology investments to assist in the development of the enterprise architecture to maximize the return on technology investment, participate in governance / stewardship of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Microservices Architecture (MSA), Application Programming Interface (APIs) artifacts and definitions, including enterprise services, API management, data, business events / topics, contracts and associated publish / subscribe participants. As this is a role with a enterprise focus and responsibilities, you will be required to work outside of the normal working hours to partner with other Tech/Digital/Business teams. This role may also include travel.
Role & responsibilities
Lead the architecture design for banking products, including retail, corporate, and digital banking solutions. - Develop end-to-end solution designs for both cloud-based and on-premise architectures. - Ensure solutions align with industry standards
a) security protocols, and the banks technology stack. - Provide architectural oversight for core banking systems, digital channels, and payment gateways.
b) Application should not need to be re engineered in less than six months post production based on the business volumes & requirements provided
c) Application Consolidation - Cost savings and scale to be achieved through re use of Common Solution , architecture patterns and components.
d) Quick short term solutions to immediate business problems, application issues with a long term design for sustainable solution
e) Re-engineering of existing solutions where warranted to support stated or changed business objectives
f) Tune existing applications/New Application to support higher volumes or increase performance and/or process improvement.
g) Work with Head architects to assist in designing solution architectures for various banking systems, including core banking, payment platforms, and digital banking applications. - Help document technical requirements, design specifications, and system architecture diagrams.
Ensure that security, risk management, and compliance requirements are integrated into
the architectural design of banking solutions. - Collaborate with the security team to incorporate necessary safeguards into solutions.
Key Skills
Experience on systems Core Banking Systems and integrations to Mobile money transfer,
USSD / SMS, Omni Channel, Internet Banking, ERP, UPI,IMPS,NEFT,RTGS,SWIFT , CRM and
other systems in a financial services ecosystem a MUST
