About This Opportunity
We are looking for a highly experienced
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle Alloy Expert to lead the end-to-end migration of Oracle applications and databases from VMware and legacy on-premises environments to Oracle Alloy deployed within our data centres. This is a senior, high-impact role where you will own the migration strategy, drive solution architecture, and shape the modernization roadmap for our Oracle ecosystem.
What You Will Do
- Develop and own end-to-end migration strategies for Oracle applications, middleware, and databases — including Oracle DB, ERP, WebLogic, EBS, and custom applications — to Oracle Alloy
- Conduct thorough discovery, assessment, and workload classification across VMware, physical servers, and legacy environments
- Build comprehensive migration roadmaps covering wave planning, cutover approach, rollback strategy, and risk mitigation
- Define data migration strategies using RMAN, Data Guard, GoldenGate, Zero-Downtime Migration (ZDM), and Data Pump
- Lead and support execution across all migration waves in a structured and controlled manner
- Guide teams on provisioning, configuration, and optimization of OCI and Oracle Alloy environments
- Identify opportunities to modernize legacy applications using OCI-native services such as OKE, Functions, API Gateway, Autonomous Database, and Exadata Cloud@Customer
- Drive optimization across cost, performance, security, and resilience post-migration
- Champion automation, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
- Ensure all migration activities align with OCI/Alloy governance frameworks, security standards, and compliance requirements
The Skills You Bring
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in OCI architecture and operations
- Proven expertise with Oracle Alloy — architecture, deployment models, services, and tenancy management
- Deep knowledge of core Oracle technologies — Oracle DB (RAC, Data Guard, Exadata), WebLogic, Fusion Middleware, Oracle Linux, Solaris, and OEM
- Demonstrated experience migrating workloads from VMware, bare-metal, and legacy environments to OCI or Oracle Alloy
- Strong command of OCI networking — VCNs, DRG, VPN, FastConnect, Security Lists, and NSGs
- Solid understanding of IAM, KMS, Vault, and Security Zones
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and OCI Resource Manager
