Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solution Architect to design, develop, and implement innovative cloud-based solutions for our clients. This role will involve leveraging expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure Cloud (PaaS/IaaS), and general cloud computing principles, with a focus on integrating data science capabilities. The Solution Architect will play a crucial role in technical presales, translating business requirements into robust architectural design.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions primarily on AWS and Azure platforms (PaaS and IaaS).
- Lead technical discussions and provide expert guidance to clients and internal teams on cloud adoption strategies, best practices, and technology selection.
- Develop comprehensive architectural documentation, including solution diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation plans.
- Collaborate with sales and business development teams on technical presales activities, including presenting solutions, responding to RFPs, and creating proof-of-concepts.
- Integrate data science methodologies and tools into cloud architectures to support advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives.
- Evaluate new cloud technologies and services, providing recommendations for their adoption and integration into existing solutions.
- Ensure solutions adhere to industry standards, security best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development and operations teams during solution implementation.
- Participate in project planning, estimation, and risk assessment activities.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 12+ years of experience in IT, with at least 6 years in a Solution Architect or similar role focused on cloud technologies.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS), including services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, etc
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) offerings.
- Deep understanding of cloud computing principles, architectural patterns, and best practices.
- Demonstrated experience with Data Science concepts, methodologies, and their practical application within cloud environments.
- Excellent technical presales skills, including the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team
- Relevant AWS and/or Azure certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
