Solar Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar energy systems, including photovoltaic (PV) panels and solar thermal systems. They work on residential, commercial, and industrial properties to help reduce energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions.
Key Responsibilities:Installation:Assembling and installing solar panels, support structures, and other components on roofs or other structures. Testing and Commissioning:Activating and testing PV systems to ensure they are functioning optimally. Documentation:Maintaining records of installations, maintenance, and repairs. Customer Interaction:Providing guidance and support to customers regarding their solar energy systems. Safety:Adhering to strict safety guidelines when working on solar installations. Continuous Learning:Staying up-to-date on new technologies and best practices in the solar industry. Skills and Qualifications:Technical skills: Knowledge of electricity, wiring, and construction principles. Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and resolve technical issues with solar energy systems. Communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
