Role Description
We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused SolarSales Manager who will handle on-site visits for customers who have enquired about solar installations. The role involves travelling to customer locations, assessing the site, explaining solar benefits, providing the best design recommendation, and ensuring the lead converts into a successful installation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Visits & Requirement Assessment
- Visit customers who have submitted enquiries for rooftop solar installation.
- Conduct detailed site surveys, including rooftop measurements, shade analysis, load requirements, and feasibility checks.
- Identify installation challenges and gather all technical data required for system design.
2. Solar System Design Recommendation
- Coordinate with the design/technical team to prepare the most suitable solar solution.
- Explain system capacity, components (panels/inverter/structure), and expected generation to the customer.
- Provide clear, customized recommendations based on customer load, rooftop size, and budget.
3. Customer Education & Sales Presentation
- Explain the benefits of solar (savings, payback, subsidy, net-metering, warranties, etc.).
- Present pricing, proposals, and EMI/finance options confidently.
- Clarify doubts related to installation, product quality, government processes, and maintenance.
4. Follow-Up & Conversion
- Maintain timely communication with leads post-visit.
- Follow up via calls/WhatsApp/emails to close sales.
- Meet monthly sales targets and ensure maximum conversion from assigned enquiries.
5. Reporting & Coordination
- Update CRM with daily visit reports, customer details, and follow-up actions.
- Coordinate with the design and project teams to ensure smooth handover of confirmed orders.
- Provide feedback to management on market trends and customer expectations.
Qualifications
- Proven skills in Sales, Account Management, and Business Development
- Experience in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and client engagement
- Knowledge of Solar Energy systems, renewable energy, and the energy sector
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet sales targets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant sales tools or software
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Renewable Energy, or related field preferred
