Description
We are looking for a skilled Software Test Engineer to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of experience in software testing and will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications through comprehensive testing strategies.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software applications.
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools.
- Perform regression testing and ensure software quality before release.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand software requirements and provide feedback on testability.
- Participate in code reviews and provide input on quality assurance best practices.
- Automate test cases using appropriate testing tools and frameworks.
- Prepare test reports and present findings to stakeholders.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4-5 years of experience in software testing, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Experience with bug tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# for test automation.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git or SVN.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
