Description
We are looking for freshers/entry-level candidates for the position of Software Test Engineer. This role will involve ensuring the quality and functionality of our software applications through rigorous testing and collaboration with development teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute test cases based on functional requirements and technical specifications.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies.
- Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to understand software requirements.
- Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionalities are not affected by new changes.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of test plans and test strategies.
- Utilize automated testing tools to enhance testing efficiency.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability of code.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and processes.
- Proficiency in test case design and execution.
- Familiarity with automated testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.
- Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Experience with bug tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality assurance.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
