Position Overview:

To ensure the quality and compliance of software solutions throughout the development lifecycle by applying rigorous engineering practices, standards, and verification methods. The Software Quality Engineer will work closely with software architects, developers, and integration teams to guarantee that all functional and non-functional requirements are met and validated.

Job Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Requirements & Design Quality Assurance

  • Review and validate software requirements (functional and non-functional) for completeness and clarity.

  • Participate in Software Requirement Reviews (SwRR) and Software Architecture & Design Reviews (SwADR) to ensure compliance with engineering standards.

2. Process & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to Engineering Golden Rules and corporate quality standards throughout the software lifecycle.

  • Verify that all engineering documents (SRS, DBDD, SDD, IDD) meet documentation control requirements.


3. Testing & Verification

  • Define and execute test strategies for unit, integration, and system-level verification.

  • Prepare and review Integration and Verification Plans (IVP) and ensure proper test coverage.

  • Conduct Software Component Readiness Reviews (SwCRR) and Software Iteration Release Reviews (SwIRR) before deployment.

4. Quality Metrics & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to software quality and report deviations.

  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for defects and nonconformities.

  • Promote secure coding practices and compliance with cybersecurity and safety standards.

5. Collaboration & Support

  • Work with Software Architects (SwARC), Software Engineers (SwE), and Integration Verification Managers (SwIVM) to ensure quality objectives are met.

  • Support IVVQ (Integration, Verification, Validation & Qualification) activities and audits.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality assurance processes.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and iterative development practices.

  • Knowledge of secure coding standards, COTS/OSS management, and compliance frameworks.

  • Familiarity with IVVQ strategies, test automation, and continuous integration tools.

  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Experience: 5-7 years of experience in software quality assurance or software engineering roles.

Education: Bachelor's in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.
