Role Overview
Siemens Digital Industries Software is seeking a detail-oriented Software QA Engineer Associate to validate enterprise web application platforms and GraphQL APIs built using modern technologies. The role involves ensuring high product quality through robust automation, CI/CD integration, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams. The QA team works at the forefront of web components, Kubernetes containerization, and emerging ML Ops and data analytics technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, review, and maintain comprehensive test automation plans and execution strategies.
- Develop end-to-end automated functional and performance test suites.
- Implement highly automated product certification processes integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, and DevOps teams to resolve issues and drive quality initiatives.
- Analyze test results, generate metrics, and present detailed test reports.
- Ensure smooth quality gates across the software development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, JavaScript, Groovy, or Golang.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in test automation using tools/frameworks such as:
- Playwright
- Selenium
- PyTest
- Mocha
- Nightwatch
- Solid understanding of:
- Web application architecture
- Cloud technologies
- Container platforms (Kubernetes)
- CI/CD concepts
- Experience with GitLab/GitHub and JIRA or similar bug tracking tools.
- Strong debugging skills using browser developer tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in distributed team environments.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ML Ops, data analytics, or data science platforms.
- Exposure to performance testing and advanced automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
