About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned Software Development Manager to lead our Concierto Agentic Platform engineering teams. This role is central to our strategic initiative of transforming our product suite into an AI-first, agentic architecture. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineering leader who has built scalable distributed systems and thrives in fast-paced environments with aggressive delivery timelines.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 10+ engineers across multiple squads working on the Concierto Agentic Platform.
- Own end-to-end delivery of features and platform capabilities from planning through production with aggressive, committed timelines.
- Drive the technical direction for transforming existing products into agentic, AI-integrated systems using modern frameworks and cloud-native patterns.
- Architect and review designs for scalable, distributed backend systems handling high throughput and complex workflow orchestration.
- Actively participate in code reviews, system design sessions, and technical problem-solving this is a hands-on management role.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, AI, and Infrastructure teams to deliver cohesive platform experiences.
- Hire, mentor, and grow engineers; build a high-performance engineering culture with clear accountability.
- Define and track team KPIs, sprint velocity, and quality metrics; identify and unblock bottlenecks proactively.
- Drive adoption of best practices in CI/CD, testing, observability, and agile engineering.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of software engineering experience with a strong application development background.
- 4+ years in an engineering management role, directly managing teams of 10 or more engineers.
- Proficiency in at least one modern backend language: Python, Java, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience designing and building scalable, high-availability distributed systems.
- Hands-on coding ability comfortable diving into code, reviewing PRs, and debugging production issues.
- Proven track record of delivering complex projects on tight, aggressive timelines.
- Strong understanding of microservices, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native application patterns.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with a bias for velocity and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication skills able to articulate technical decisions to both engineering teams and business stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- Experience building or integrating AI/ML features, LLM-powered workflows, or agentic automation into products.
- Background in enterprise SaaS platforms, particularly in workflow automation or intelligent process orchestration.
- Familiarity with Azure cloud services and modern DevOps practices.
- Experience with agentic AI frameworks (LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar).
