About the Role

Software Development Manager (SDM) who plays a crucial & critical role in driving the success of digital platforms for the Bank. SDM leads the technical projects and takes bottom line accountability to ensure project, team success.

Responsibilities

• Are responsible for a set of services/product
• Build annual execution plan for your product
• Own and drive high-quality delivery using the technology that can scale using distributed computing
• Hands on with technology to perform code reviews, Design the right tech and high code quality
• Deep focus on operational excellence for optimal customer experience
• Provide technical program management leadership to ONE team (across Product, Technology, Enterprise, IT, Vendor partners)
• Understand, have experience in, Agile Ways of working and are able to coach others to promote Agile ways of working.
• Help define the Product Vision & define the success (like KPIs) and business goals.
• Create Software Development roadmaps and align different Product Increments for Product success.
• Create & optimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
• Good to have knowledge of India stack - open banking (UPI), RBI regulations, and Systems (KYC, UIDAI) and apply the knowledge to solve technical dependencies.
• Good to Have: Understand SDLC and manage dependencies with different enterprise teams

• Operations
• Cross Functions
• Understand and help define, implement Non-Functional requirements
• Lead triage of defects, bugs and track them to closure
• Provide one view of Product, Program progress (by tracking to KPIs) to stakeholders

Qualifications

• Education background: Under graduation in Engineering.
• Certifications - Minimum of Engineering degree will be good to have - Certification on AI/Programming languages/Software Technology (desired)
• Experience range required 12-18 years with minimum 5 yrs of People Management Experience.

• Strong communications skills.

• Ability to manage stakeholders (product owners, business stakeholders, cross function teams) to coach agile ways of working.
• Ability to structure, organize teams, and streamline communication.
• Prior work experience in leading software development teams of more than 8 developer in product company
• Good knowledge of languages open-source systems, programming languages such as Java/Python, knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL DBs, Distributed caching

Preferred Skills
