Software Engineering Manager, Core Dev, Rust

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of software engineers, guiding them to optimize their work and achieve project goals.
• Oversee the deployment of large-scale software projects across multiple sites internationally.
• Work with Rust leads in EMEA and the US to drive shared goals and contribute to Rust's adoption across the company and industry.
• Grow the Rust ecosystem by developing usable libraries and enabling production development with Rust.
• Collaborate with customer partners to land Rust usage and create business impact.
• Foster a healthy team culture, focusing on results, collaboration, and a positive work environment while balancing local autonomy with team cohesion.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development in languages like Python, C, C++, Java, or JavaScript.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role, overseeing projects and teams, including 3 years of experience in people management.
• Preferred: Experience leading infrastructure changes and managing large software engineering teams.
• Experience with Rust or C++ is a plus, along with a strong understanding of programming languages and compiler technologies.
• Strong interest in fostering a positive, inclusive work environment while building a team culture.
