As a Software Engineer at Travelexic, you will be responsible for designing and building backend services that power our event technology platform. You will work closely with the product and engineering team to develop scalable APIs, optimize system performance, and integrate AI-driven capabilities into our platform.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs using Go (Golang)
- Build and maintain backend systems using the Laravel framework
- Architect and optimize microservices and backend workflows
- Integrate and build applications leveraging AI foundation models and APIs
- Collaborate with product and frontend teams to implement new platform capabilities
- Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making
- Debug production issues and continuously improve system stability
Required Skills & Experience
- 56 years of professional software development experience
- 23 years of hands-on experience with Golang
- Strong experience with Laravel (PHP framework)
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL (complex queries, indexing, performance tuning).
- Basic knowledge of VueJS (or willingness to learn).
- Experience building RESTful APIs and backend services
- Experience working with AI foundation models / LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude, etc.)
- Strong understanding of backend architecture and system design
- Familiarity with databases (MySQL / PostgreSQL)
- Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows
Good to Have
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS / GCP / Azure)
- Experience with containerization (Docker / Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with event-driven systems or message queues
