Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Architect, design, and develop forwarding software for L3/MPLS platforms.
  • Implement and enhance features for merchant ASIC-based platforms (Broadcom Qumran/Jericho).
  • Troubleshoot and debug software issues in complex lab topologies and customer network deployments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software with platform hardware.
  • Analyze core dumps and resolve low-level system and software issues.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 4 8 years of experience in router/switch companies or networking-focused software development.
  • Prior experience in L3 Forwarding, MPLS/L3VPN, L2VPN, EVPN, SR-MPLS, SRv6, or GRE.
  • Understanding of system architecture for network processor-based products.

Technical Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Router/Switch architecture and networking protocols.
  • Experience in design and development of forwarding software.
  • Knowledge of Broadcom ASICs like Qumran or Jericho is highly desirable.
  • Strong coding and debugging skills; experience with core file analysis.
  • Understanding of computer architecture, data structures, and programming practices.
