Sr. Software Developer – HR
Overview
As a Senior Anaplan Developer, you will play a key role in the end-to-end support, maintenance, and enhancement of GMI's Anaplan implementation, which connects Finance, HR, and Technology to enable integrated planning and forecasting across the enterprise. You will spend your time solving complex planning challenges, enhancing existing models, and building new capabilities that improve how teams plan, analyze, and make decisions. In this role, you will partner closely with business stakeholders, process owners, and technical teams to understand functional and technical requirements, translate them into scalable Anaplan designs, and build high-quality models that are performant, maintainable, and aligned to our design standards. You will also contribute to model governance and best practices by ensuring solutions are well-documented, reusable where possible, and continuously improved as business needs and planning processes evolve.
Key Accountabilities
- Design and build Anaplan models to support key business processes (e.g., financial planning, forecasting, workforce planning) under guidance from senior model builders/architects
- Partner with business stakeholders and the Solution Architect to understand requirements, document processes, and translate them into Anaplan model designs
- Configure Anaplan models using core modeling techniques (lists, modules, dashboards, worksheets), including basic hierarchy management and data synchronization
- Develop and maintain formulas and calculations in Anaplan, focusing on accuracy, maintainability, and alignment to established design standards
- Assist with performance tuning and optimization of Anaplan models to support scalability and efficient user experience
- Stay current on Anaplan platform updates and best practices, applying relevant enhancements to existing models where appropriate
- Support testing activities (including UAT), help identify edge cases, and provide post-implementation support and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with senior team members to follow architectural guidance and contribute to the successful delivery of Anaplan projects
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of relevant hands-on Anaplan experience
- Anaplan Certified Professional Model Builder
- Experience utilizing Anaplan's Polaris engine
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Level 3 Anaplan Model Building training complete
- Experience in Human Resources and/or workforce planning
