Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

FCSD provides comprehensive diagnostics, repair, and service capabilities for electrified, hybrid, and internal combustion vehicles worldwide.

As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, deployment, and support of cloud-based applications that enable critical customer and dealer experiences. You will work closely with product managers, architects, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions that create business value and drive innovation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java, React, and GCP.
Build and enhance RESTful APIs and web-based applications.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions and detailed specifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on integrations, testing, deployments, and production support.
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and solution design activities.
Ensure software quality through testing and engineering best practices.
Troubleshoot application issues and continuously improve performance, reliability, and scalability.
Support Agile delivery practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Contribute to the successful delivery of business-critical software solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Java.
Strong hands-on experience with React.
Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Experience developing web applications and RESTful APIs.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
Good communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across teams.
Experience working across the software development lifecycle.
Passion for continuous learning and adopting new technologies.
