Job Description: Software Engineer (Java)

Role Alignment with Business Plan: The Java Developer will be an integral part of the Infor Data Services team, contributing to the development of innovative, customer-centric data management solutions. This role focuses on building and integrating robust Java components and services, aligning with our business plan to deliver scalable and efficient software solutions that enhance enterprise customer value and platform functionality.

Position Summary: Embedded within the Infor Data Services team, the Java Developer is responsible for designing and implementing high-quality, reusable Java components and services. The role involves using Spring Boot to implement microservice architectures and integrating them with various databases and data storage solutions, ensuring the performance and scalability of the software in line with Infor's data management strategy.

Essential Duties:

• Develop reusable and maintainable Java components and services.
• Implement microservice architecture using Spring Boot.
• Design REST APIs with a focus on industry standards.
• Utilize Spark in Java for data processing tasks.
• Integrate code with databases, both relational (SQL) and NoSQL.
• Conduct unit testing to ensure functionality meets design specifications.
• Apply object-oriented programming (OOP) principles effectively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate technical requirements into effective code.

Basic Qualifications:

• 4-5 years of experience in Java development.
• Strong proficiency in core and advanced Java, including the latest features.
• Experience with Spring Boot and Spark libraries in Java.
• Knowledge of database both relational and NoSQL.
• Knowledge of Multiple design patterns, Kafka, Git, Docker, and Linux.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Spark using Spring Boot.
• Familiarity with AWS services, and Agile tools like Jira and Confluence.
