Job Overview:
CGI is looking for a talented and motivated Java Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and Micro App architecture. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications, while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. This role requires a balance of backend and frontend development skills, along with a strong understanding of CI/CD practices and modern development methodologies.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java (Java 8/11/17) and Spring Boot.
- Develop dynamic, responsive front-end applications using Angular and Micro App / Micro Frontend architecture.
- Build and consume RESTful APIs ensuring seamless system integration.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient and automated deployments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, architects, QA, and DevOps teams.
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure high-quality deliverables through unit testing, code reviews, and best development practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring optimal application performance and scalability.
- Contribute to solution design, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Align development activities with CGI's quality standards, security guidelines, and delivery frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 6–8 years of hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot development.
- Strong expertise in Angular with experience in Micro Apps / Micro Frontends.
- Good understanding and practical experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines.
- Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Your future duties and responsibilities
6+ years of hands-on experience as a Full Stack Developer.
Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and REST API development.
Experience with Angular is must for building responsive front-end applications.
Knowledge of Kafka (producers, consumers, topics, event streaming).
Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).
Proficiency in unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Jasmine/Karma for Angular).
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
