About the Role
As a Software Engineer Intern at Blankline, you will contribute to building next-generation AI products in both developer tooling and aerospace domains. You'll gain hands-on experience working across the full product lifecyclefrom ideation and architecture to deploymentwhile collaborating with engineers and product leaders on high-impact projects used by thousands of users worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize backend services, APIs, and microservices to support AI-driven applications.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing to improve product reliability and deployment speed.
- Contribute to AI research-to-production workflows, including LLM orchestration, data pipelines, and distributed systems.
- Collaborate with the product team to validate requirements, design solutions, and deliver features in agile sprint cycles.
- Assist in building scalable, production-ready AI systems in developer tooling (e.g., AI coding assistants) and aerospace simulations (e.g., autonomous navigation).
- Write clean, maintainable code while following Git and code review best practices.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Hands-on experience with Node.js, Python, or Java, and familiarity with REST APIs or microservices.
- Exposure to machine learning frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow) and basic knowledge of LLMs or computer vision is a plus.
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and agile development practices.
- Problem-solving mindset with a passion for building AI-powered products.
