Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and design exhaustive positive and negative test cases to support functional and automation testing.
- Execute manual and automated testing focused on backend systems and REST endpoints, ensuring thorough validation of all features.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java for RESTful API validation.
- Test REST endpoints through automated frameworks; validate request/response accuracy, error handling, and data integrity.
- Implement and maintain reporting frameworks such as Allure for detailed test execution reports.
- Work with behavior-driven development frameworks like Cucumber and build automation using Maven.
- Participate in calls with product teams, coordinating and seeking clarifications where necessary.
- Collaborate closely with developers to resolve defects, share findings, and drive quality improvements.
- Document and track defects, providing clear communication to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Participate in test planning, estimation, and ongoing status reporting
Requirements
- 4-6 years of hands-on QA experience, including both manual and automation testing.
- Strong experience with Java for automation scripting.
- Proven expertise in automating RESTful API testing.
- Experience testing REST endpoints and developing automated tests for endpoint validation.
- Exposure to reporting frameworks like Allure.
- Familiarity with the Cucumber framework for BDD and Maven for build automation.
- Experience working with record and playback tools for test creation and defect reproduction.
- Strong communication skills; ability to coordinate with product and development teams.
- Proven ability to write comprehensive positive and negative test cases.
- Exposure to large-scale enterprise applications.
- Desirable Skills
- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
- Knowledge of SDLC methodologies and QA best practices.
- Ability to work both independently and in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
