Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our engineering team. In this role, you will work closely with software developers and product teams to ensure the highest quality of our software through automation, testing, and continuous improvement of testing practices. You will design and implement automated test frameworks, create test scripts, and ensure that our applications are thoroughly tested before release.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts and test frameworks.
  • Collaborate with software developers to understand product features and design test cases.
  • Perform functional, regression, and performance testing(good to have) for web and mobile applications.
  • Execute test plans and report test results to ensure the application meets functional and performance requirements.
  • Identify, track, and report bugs/issues in a timely manner using issue tracking systems.
  • Contribute to the improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and tools.
  • Work closely with the Dev team to ensure comprehensive test coverage and quality standards.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback related to testability and quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, etc.).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies (e.g., unit testing, integration testing, system testing).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work in an agile development environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI.
  • Understanding of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS) and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with mobile app testing (iOS/Android).
  • Working knowledge of Jira
