Software Engineer III - AIML Platform Reliability

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning & Data Platforms team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities

• Develop solutions to enhance the reliability and scalability of AI/ML platforms and applications to accommodate fast growing demands.
• Partner with product engineering teams to ensure the AI/ML systems are reliable and high performing.
• Analyze defects, propose improvement and drive efficiencies in systems and processes
• Optimize the performance and utilization of AI ML platform and infrastructure
• Develop observability, security and fin-ops tools and orchestration.
• Author and improve the quality of technical engineering documentation
• Debug and solve issues in a production environment
• Participates in on-call rotations and escalation workflows.
• Take full ownership of problems, develop solutions, and acquire new knowledge to complete the task.

Required qualifications , capabilities and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent technical qualification

• Expertisein programming with Python and cutting-edge software engineering practices.

• Experience in designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems and cloud-native architecture.

• Experience with developing on Cloud, especially AWS and Knowledge in Infrastructure as Code, tools such as Terraform.

• Systematic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in a complex system.
• Excellent communication skills working with stakeholders across the company to design solutions to user problems
• Self-disciplined, self-managed, self-motivated and strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive

Preferred qualifications , capabilities and skills

• Prior experience working in AI, ML, or Data engineering orcontainer orchestration.

• Prior experience developing Automation frameworks/AI Ops

• Prior experience working on building observability systems

• Previous experience as an Infrastructure or Platform Software Engineer in a dynamic technology company or startup.
