We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to take your software engineering career to the next level.

As a Java Developer with AWS Cloud experience at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and community banking, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm's state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role. Hands-on knowledge of Mainframe technologies like COBOL, JCL, and databases in Mainframe technology is an added advantage.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Development: Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Java and AWS services. Experience with Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment processes using tools like Jenkins and Spinnaker. Experience with the Spring framework (Core, REST API, web services, messaging), with experience in Spring Boot and microservice architecture with proficiency in RESTful API development and related tools such as Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with agile team members, including product managers and designers, to deliver high-quality technology products.
  • Cloud Solutions: Implement and manage cloud infrastructure and services using ECS, EKS, Lambda, Aurora PostgreSQL and other AWS technologies, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Agile Practices: Participate in agile ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives for continuous improvement.
  • Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
  • Testing: Develop and execute unit tests and integration tests to ensure application quality and performance and meet TrueCD standards.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for applications and cloud infrastructure.
  • Application Monitoring:Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Grafana, CloudWatch, and Datadog.

Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities:

  • Proficiency in Java programming language.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure management.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (e.g., React, Angular).
  • Understanding of database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for technology and innovation.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
