We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to lead the testing efforts for our EMC product releases. This role requires a strong technical background in software testing, particularly for Android based systems, as well as experience with Python and Keyword-Driven Development (KDD) frameworks like Robot Framework. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a team of test developers, developing comprehensive test plans and test cases for our Android based devices. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong technical background in software testing, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality products. The candidate should have experience with end-to-end solution testing, interoperability testing, benchmarking, and performance-related testing to ensure robust and high performing devices.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of test developers, providing technical guidance and support.
- Develop and review, detailed, comprehensive, and well structured test plans and test cases for new and existing features on our Android devices.
- Design, develop, and maintain testing strategies to ensure the quality and reliability of our products.
- Ensure comprehensive coverage for functional, performance, interoperability, and benchmarking tests.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python and Robot Framework.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams, including developers, product managers, and program managers, to ensure that testing is integrated throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives in the test process, tools, and methodologies.
- Explore and integrate Generative AI tools to enhance test case generation and test automation.
- Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.
Qualifications:
- BE/B. Tech in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 Years experience into Android OS testing with Good exposure on Robot Framework and Appium.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, agile environment.
- Strong expertise in Android testing, including knowledge of the Android OS.
- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Experience with end to end solution testing, interoperability testing, benchmarking, and performance related testing.
- Proficiency in Python for test automation development.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and DevOps methodologies.
- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work across business units and align stakeholders on testing strategies.
- Experience with Generative AI tools for test development.
- Candidate must be based out in Bangalore location only.
