Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Software Engineer. The Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications, building and optimizing back-end systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. The role also includes debugging, testing, and improving existing software to ensure maximum performance and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop responsive web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Build scalable backend services using Node.js, Express.js, and optionally Java
- Manage and optimize MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases
- Integrate and test third-party APIs using tools such as Postman
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Participate in code reviews, version control, and collaborative development using Git and GitHub
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to plan, develop, test, and deploy new features
- Identify and troubleshoot bugs, improve performance, and ensure high system reliability
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience with Node.js and Express.js
- Hands-on knowledge of MongoDB or other NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with Java for backend development (optional, but a plus)
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, asynchronous programming, and API integration
- Experience using Postman or similar tools for testing
- Proficiency with Git and working in collaborative development environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive learning mindset
- A personal portfolio or GitHub profile demonstrating relevant projects is highly preferred
