Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with 3 to 6 years of experience to join our team in a hybrid work model. The ideal candidate will have expertise in IMS DC DB2 IT Service Management IMS DB and JCL with a strong understanding of Cards & Payments as a preferred domain skill. This role involves day shifts and does not require travel.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software solutions using IMS DC DB2 IMS DB and JCL to meet business requirements and ensure system reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze design and implement IT service management processes that align with organizational goals.
- Provide technical expertise in the development and optimization of database structures and queries using DB2 to enhance system performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to IMS DC and IMS DB ensuring seamless operations and minimal downtime.
- Conduct code reviews and implement best practices to ensure high-quality software development and adherence to industry standards.
- Participate in requirement gathering sessions with stakeholders to understand project needs and translate them into technical specifications.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for software applications processes and configurations to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.
- Perform unit testing and integration testing to validate software functionality and ensure compatibility with existing systems.
- Monitor system performance and provide recommendations for improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Collaborate with team members to implement innovative solutions that address complex technical challenges and drive business success.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve skills and contribute to the organizations growth.
- Support the Cards & Payments domain by leveraging knowledge and expertise to develop solutions that meet industry-specific requirements.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards while delivering high-quality software solutions.
Qualifications
- Possess strong technical expertise in IMS DC DB2 IMS DB JCL and IT Service Management with proven experience in software development and maintenance.
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues effectively.
- Exhibit strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Have a solid understanding of database optimization techniques and experience in working with DB2.
- Show familiarity with Cards & Payments domain processes and requirements which is considered a valuable asset.
