About the Role :
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer with strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and Azure Cloud. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing scalable backend systems, optimizing performance, building integrations, and ensuring production stability. This is an individual contributor role requiring excellent problem-solving skills, ownership, and the ability to lead technical discussions.
Must-Have Skills
Backend Development :
- Strong expertise in Node.js & TypeScript with frameworks like Express or NestJS.
- Deep understanding of REST API architecture, microservices, and backend design patterns.
Database & Caching
Hands-on experience with SQL Server / MySQL including :
- Query optimization
- Indexing
- Schema design
- Resolving database bottlenecks
- Practical experience with Redis caching (TTL, eviction policies, clustering) to reduce DB load.
Azure Cloud Expertise
Strong working knowledge of :
- Azure Functions
- Azure App Services
- API Management
- Azure SQL
- Azure Redis Cache
- CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps)
Asynchronous Systems & Integrations
- Experience building async workflows using Azure Service Bus / RabbitMQ / Kafka.
- Ability to design incremental data sync, webhook-based updates, and reliable integration flows.
Security & Authentication
Strong understanding of :
- JWT, OAuth2
- MFA/TOTP
- RBAC
- Secure token flows and best practices
Performance, Monitoring & Production Maturity
Experience optimizing backend systems for :
- Lower latency
- Higher throughput
- Debugging slow queries
- Strong skills in production issue RCA, monitoring, logging, and stability engineering.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience refactoring monolithic applications into microservices.
- Knowledge of Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Data Lake for analytics/data offloading.
- Experience with event-driven architecture and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern DevOps workflows.
- Exposure to VAPT, OWASP, and cloud security best practices.
- Experience integrating with third-party systems like ERP platforms (e.g., Oracle NetSuite), webhook systems, or custom connectors.
- Understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines, batch jobs, data orchestration.
- Experience mentoring junior developers or leading small engineering pods.
