Job Description

Description

Amazon's Last Mile delivery network moves millions of packages every day, and the accuracy of the geospatial data and maps powering that network matters at every turn. The Geospatial organization empowers every person performing pickup or delivery services—regardless of tenure, payload, or geography—to deliver a best-in-class customer experience through logistics-centric geospatial data and intelligence. The Delivery Success team unifies investments in customer-facing experiences and signals, repeat defect reduction, AI-optimized editing, and better case and task orchestration and tooling for 10+ partner teams worldwide. Our systems assist transporters in real-time on the road while enabling large-scale data processing and insight generation across billions of deliveries. We have launched multiple solutions spanning GenAI models, agentic frameworks, and customer-facing tools — and we're just getting started.

  • Own and drive the technical roadmap for Delivery Success initiatives, balancing near-term delivery with long-term platform investments.
  • Architect and deliver GenAI-based solutions to reduce delivery defects, improve underlying geospatial data, and close the loop with customers and transporters.
  • Lead the evolution of GeoStudio into a broadly adopted platform serving partner teams across Last Mile and globally.
  • Make sound architectural decisions across a diverse portfolio spanning agentic AI interfaces, scalable backend services, tile generation pipelines, reusable React-based frontend components, and web SDKs.
  • Drive end-to-end delivery of complex engineering projects with clear milestones and measurable outcomes.
  • Maintain a high bar for engineering quality, reliability, and operational excellence across Tier-1 services handling millions of events daily.
  • Build strong working relationships with 10+ partner teams across the Geospatial organization, Field Collection Experience, Field Signal Intelligence, and LMAQ.
  • Communicate technical strategy and risks clearly to senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Champion reusable components, SDKs, and APIs that accelerate delivery across the Last Mile technology ecosystem.
  • Build an inclusive, high-trust environment where engineers take ownership and make decisions.

  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
  • Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
  • Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
