Job Description

As an SDET-4, you will be the technical backbone of our quality engineering team. We are looking for a hands-on expert who thrives on solving complex business problemsthe kind that require deep dives into data flows, integration points, and high-scale logic. You will not only build robust automation but also act as a technical mentor, elevating the bar for everyone around you.

Core Responsibilities

  • Automation Excellence: Design and implement highly reliable automated test suites for complex web and backend applications. You should be an expert in at least one industry-standard tool (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, or RestAssured).
  • Business Logic Validation: Break down intricate business requirements into comprehensive test strategies. You will be responsible for ensuring that complex edge cases in our business workflows are covered by automation.
  • Framework Ownership: Take ownership of the testing framework's health. You will optimize execution speed, reduce flakiness, and ensure the framework scales as the product grows.
  • Team Guidance: Lead by example through high-quality code reviews. You will mentor junior and mid-level engineers, helping them improve their automation patterns and debugging skills.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Developers and Product Managers during the design phase to ensure testability is built into the product from day one.
  • Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in Software Development or Test Automation.
  • The Toolbox: Extensive, hands-on experience with tools like Cypress, Playwright, or Appium. You should know these tools deeply, not just at a surface level.
  • Complex Systems: Experience working with Microservices, RESTful APIs, and Databases (SQL/NoSQL). You should be comfortable navigating logs and debugging across distributed systems.
  • Continuous Integration: Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions) and how to integrate automated tests effectively within them.

What We Are Looking For

  • The Problem Solver: You don't just find bugs; you find the cause of the problem and propose architectural improvements to prevent them.
  • The Mentor: You enjoy helping others grow. You can explain complex technical concepts to a junior engineer without being condescending.
  • The Owner: You take pride in your work. When a test fails in the pipeline, you are the first to investigate and the last to leave until the path to production is clear.
