How You'll Help Us Keep Climbing (Overview & Key Responsibilities)
- Build and maintain serverless applications using AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, and EventBridge.
- Develop and manage RESTful and GraphQL APIs to support aviation data services and integrations.
- Write efficient, reusable, and well-documented Python code for backend services and automation.
- Use AWS CDK to define and deploy infrastructure as code.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab for automated testing and deployment.
- Ensure infrastructure is scalable, secure, and cost-optimized.
- Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting using Amazon CloudWatch.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and development environments.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, DevOps, QA, and product managers.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Stay up to date with the latest AWS services and features.
- Proactively explore and recommend new tools, frameworks, and best practices to improve system performance and developer productivity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Technical Competencies
What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is required
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering with a focus on AWS.
- Proficiency in Python for backend development, scripting, and automation.
- Experience with following AWS services Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Step Functions, API Gateway, EventBridge, SNS, SQS, IAM, CDK
- Good understanding of RESTful and GraphQL API development and integration.
- Familiarity with GitLab for version control and CI/CD pipeline management.
- Experience with Amazon CloudWatch for monitoring and logging.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools.
