Are you passionate about building scalable enterprise solutions that transform how businesses manage connected devices Join the Alexa Smart Properties (ASP) Console team as a Software Development Manager and lead the development of mission-critical infrastructure that enables property administrators to manage thousands of Alexa devices at scale.
The ASP Console is a foundational pillar of Alexa Smart Properties, serving as the central hub where hospitality providers, senior living communities, and healthcare facilities onboard, deploy, configure, and manage their Alexa-enabled properties. As the SDM for this team, you'll own the technical vision and execution for features that directly impact customer success - from device provisioning and fleet management to creating engaging guest experiences through menus, activities, and events.
This role sits at the intersection of enterprise software, IoT device management, and customer experience. You'll lead a team of talented engineers building web services and user interfaces that must be intuitive enough for property staff and can handle complex, multi-tenant deployments across thousands of locations. Your work will directly enable ASP's growth trajectory and our ability to deliver on signed contracts with major enterprise customers.
We're looking for a technical leader who can balance innovation with operational excellence, someone who thrives on solving complex distributed systems challenges while keeping the customer experience at the forefront. You'll partner closely with Product Management, UX, and cross-functional teams across ASP to define the roadmap and deliver features that delight our enterprise customers and drive business impact.

Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
