ABOUT THE TEAM & ROLE:
At Swiggy, we are revolutionizing the way people order food at their favorite restaurants, and we would like you to be part of that journey.
As the SDE3 for the Dineout Supply charter, you'll own the end-to-end ecosystem-from Catalog and Menu Management to Menu / Food Discovery and Order Management. At the heart of this role is our POS Integration engine, the critical backbone of our supply infrastructure. You won't just be scaling internal systems you'll be a key strategic architect, influencing and building solutions for the third-party partners who power the restaurant industry across India.
What qualities are we looking for
. 5-8+ years of experience building backend systems in a product company or startup. . Proven experience owning services end-to-end, from design to production. . Experience working with third-party or partner integrations is a strong plus. . Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and backend system design. . Deep experience with Golang or Java. . Strong understanding of API design (REST/gRPC), data modeling, and service boundaries. . Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases. . Solid understanding of concurrency, performance tuning, and memory management. . Define, document, and simplify API contracts for external parties interacting with the Dineout ecosystem. . Break complex workflows and business use cases into small, modular backend services. . Build mocks, simulators, and test harnesses to decouple development from external POS dependencies. . Liaise with vendors and partners to drive end-to-end integrations.

Drive code quality through reviews, refactoring, and strong backend conventions. . Make pragmatic tech and tooling decisions and own the outcomes. . Improve observability with structured logging, metrics, and alerts. . Mentor engineers through design discussions and hands-on guidance. . Ensure the Dineout ecosystem is always-on, providing a seamless and dependable experience without fail . Take responsibility for outcomes and OKRs . Be Comfortable making technical decisions where the requirements may be ambiguous . Communicate effectively with product managers, QA, infrastructure, and external partners.
