Job Summary:
- As a Software Configuration Engineer, you will play a key role in implementing and managing software configuration processes. You will assist in designing, configuring, and customizing software solutions using Java and Spring Boot to meet business requirements and ensure the success of application projects. Your day-to-day tasks will involve working with cross-functional teams to ensure configurations align with business needs, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Configuration Management:
- Implement the configuration management plan as directed by the Configuration Lead.
- Ensure that the software configuration and customization meet the business process design and application requirements.
Software Configuration and Customization:
- Assist in the design and implementation of software configuration and customization.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., developers, business analysts, and project managers) to ensure configurations align with business goals.
Documentation:
- Develop and maintain software configuration and customization documentation for future reference and troubleshooting.
- Ensure clear and detailed documentation of all configuration processes and customizations.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software configuration and customization.
- Collaborate with teams to resolve any system or application issues arising from configuration problems.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must Have Skills:
- Proficiency in Java for software development and customization.
Good to Have Skills:
- Experience with Spring Boot for developing and deploying Java-based applications.
Other Skills:
- Strong understanding of software configuration management principles.
- Hands-on experience in software configuration and customization design.
- Experience in creating and maintaining documentation related to configurations and customizations.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to software configurations.
Additional Information:
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in Java and Spring Boot development is required.
- Educational Background: The ideal candidate should have a strong educational background in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Location: This position is based at the Pune office.
