Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in the Pune Division for a Social Worker. The Social Worker will be responsible for providing support and advocacy to individuals, families, and communities in areas such as mental health, child welfare, and community development. Responsibilities include assessing client needs, creating actionable plans, coordinating with external agencies, delivering counseling and support services, and maintaining detailed case documentation. The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and community stakeholders to address social challenges effectively.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and counseling skills to build trust and engage with diverse clients effectively
  • Experience in case management, assessment, and developing care plans tailored to individual needs
  • Knowledge of community resources, social support networks, and how to access them for ensuring client well-being
  • Familiarity with ethical standards and legal regulations governing social work practice
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to address complex social issues and crises
  • Proficiency in record keeping, documentation, and case reporting systems
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Previous experience in social work, community outreach, or a related service field is an asset
  • Fluency in local languages is strongly preferred
  • Empathy, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to making a positive impact
