Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Social Worker role based in Vilavankod. The Social Worker will be responsible for providing support and assistance to individuals and families in need, connecting them with community resources, and facilitating access to healthcare, education, and other essential services. Daily tasks include conducting assessments, creating personalized support plans, assisting with resource applications, and collaborating with medical professionals and other team members. The Social Worker will also participate in community outreach programs and advocate for the well-being of marginalized populations.
Qualifications
- Experience in conducting assessments, counseling, and creating intervention plans for individuals and families
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building trust and collaborating with clients and team members
- Ability to connect clients with community resources, healthcare services, and other social support networks
- Demonstrated commitment to serving underserved communities and advocating for social equity
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus
- Knowledge of local community resources and experience working in a similar geographical area
- Proficiency in regional languages and cultural sensitivity is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
