About the Role

As a Social Science Research Annotator, you will support the development of advanced AI systems by reviewing, annotating, and validating social science research content. This role focuses on evaluating the quality of reasoning, methodological soundness, and contextual accuracy of AI-generated outputs across social science disciplines. You will apply academic rigor and critical thinking to help train AI models that engage responsibly and accurately with complex social, cultural, and institutional topics.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Annotate and label social science questions, analyses, summaries, and research-style content for AI training and evaluation.
• Review and validate AI-generated outputs related to sociology, political science, anthropology, psychology, human geography, and related fields.
• Assess theoretical frameworks, conceptual clarity, and use of social science terminology and constructs.
• Evaluate research reasoning for methodological validity, including study design, sampling, measurement, and interpretation of findings.
• Ensure annotations reflect ethical considerations, bias awareness, and responsible handling of sensitive social topics.

Skills & Experience Required

• BA/MA in Psychology, Sociology, Social Sciences, or related fields
• Research exposure through coursework or internships
• Strong understanding of experimental design and qualitative reasoning
• Ability to identify biases, sampling issues, and methodological inconsistencies
• strong in evaluating study designs and reasoning quality.

NOTE: This will be a flexible freelancing opportunity. Pay will vary by project and typically is up to 1500 per hour.
