Role Overview

We are looking for a Social Media Strategist who can think beyond posts and reels and look at social as a full funnel growth lever for brands.

You will own the social media strategy and always on presence for a set of brands. You will work closely with Brand Managers, creative teams, influencer teams and performance marketers to make sure social media content is connected to brand strategy, consumer insight and business outcomes.

This is an in office role from our Gurgaon office. The pace is fast, the bar on thinking and execution is high and social media is treated as a serious brand and growth channel, not just a place to post.

Key Responsibilities

1. Social Strategy and Planning

Build social media strategies that are rooted in brand positioning, consumer insight and business objectives

Define the role of each platform such as Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and others in the overall brand and growth journey

Create clear platform wise objectives for awareness, engagement, community and traffic or conversion, in partnership with Brand Managers and performance teams

2. Content Architecture and Calendar

Develop content pillars and formats that are right for the brand, for example education, inspiration, community, product stories and topical moments

Build monthly and weekly content calendars that balance brand building content with performance oriented content

Work with copy, design and video teams to brief content that is thumb stopping, on brand and appropriate to each platform

Integrate UGC, influencer content and studio content into the calendar in a planned way, not as one offs

3. Channel Management and Optimisation

Own the health of brand social handles on platforms like Instagram, Facebook and YouTube, including frequency, consistency, response quality and community tone

Work with the performance team on content test and scale loops, including boosting high potential content and learning from results

Stay updated on platform changes, formats and best practices and bring these into the brand plans

4. Analytics and Reporting

Track and analyse key metrics such as reach, engagement, saves, shares, follower growth, watch time and click through

Build simple and clear reports that help Brand Managers and clients see what is working and what is not

Use data to recommend next steps and experiments rather than report numbers for the sake of reporting

Connect social media performance to broader funnel metrics in partnership with performance marketing teams

5. Collaboration and Integration

Work closely with Brand Managers so that social media is fully aligned with brand campaigns, launches and promotions

Partner with influencer marketing teams to integrate creator content into the social calendar and to brief creators in a way that is on brand and on strategy

Work with studios and creative teams at Pravis to evolve new social first content formats, based on the 38 plus video formats and creative solutions Pravis has built across brands

6. Experimentation and Learning

Run structured experiments on formats, hooks, captions, posting times and content types and document what you learn

Be comfortable using AI tools and other new tools to improve content speed, quality and insight gathering

Share learning and best practices with the wider team so that all brands benefit from what is working

You Will Fit Right In If You

Have 4 to 7 years of experience in social media strategy or content strategy for brands, preferably at a digital first brand or a digital first agency

Think like a brand person and not just a page manager and can connect posts and reels back to brand and business outcomes

Have a digital first mindset and deep familiarity with platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and LinkedIn

Are comfortable reading dashboards and using data to make decisions and not just to make reports

Are excited about growth marketing and keen to work closely with performance teams on test and scale

Are curious about AI tools and new platforms and enjoy learning and experimenting with them

Communicate clearly, present your thinking in a simple way and are comfortable in client and internal discussions
