Social Media Specialist

About the Role:

We are looking for a Social Media Specialist with a proven track record of scaling and managing large social media platforms—especially Instagram and LinkedIn. If you've built communities, cracked the algorithm, and know how to drive both engagement and follower growth for a media or content-led brand, we want to talk to you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and execute the content strategy for Instagram, LinkedIn, and other platforms
• Drive follower growth, engagement, and reach through smart content planning, trend-mapping, and platform-specific storytelling
• Collaborate with editorial, design, and video teams to create platform-native content
• Analyze performance metrics and constantly optimize content formats, posting times, and strategies
• Manage influencer collaborations, social partnerships, and reels strategy where applicable
• Stay updated with the latest social media trends, tools, and platform updates

Requirements:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience managing social media for a fast-paced media, publishing, or content-first brand
• Demonstrated success in growing Instagram and LinkedIn handles to significant scale (10k–100k+)
• Strong understanding of social media analytics, performance tools, and content formats
• Creative mindset with sharp copywriting skills and an eye for visual storytelling
• Comfortable working in a high-ownership, fast-paced team

• Experience with paid social media marketing and boosting strategy
• Experience using tools like Buffer, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, or SproutSocial
• Strong network in the media/tech ecosystem
